I started this painting in the Grand Canyon, right after a storm blew over and crepuscular rays began to shine through the clouds. The light moved quickly, it seemed to dance- animating and morphing every detail it reached.
Dusk was settling in when the birds began to echo across the sky once more. I sang with them while ovseving the varied color palette of the canyon.
